This Easter Monday 5th April Belfast-based polysexual club night Yello proudly presents an EXCLUSIVE 3 hour set by one of the most universally acclaimed DJs and producers on earth - DUBFIRE...

After 15 ground-breaking years topping charts, winning Grammys and earning acclaim as one half of legendary electronic partnership Deep Dish, Dubfire embarked upon a solo career in 2006. Returning to his roots with a diverse foundation spanning punk, industrial/new wave, jazz, dub, hip-hop, house and techno, "I Feel Speed," was his first solo release and marked a musical crossroads in his passage towards a deeper and darker sound.

A barrage of remixes and productions on respected labels, including Cocoon, Toolroom, Get Physical, Minus, and Rekids, inspired and ignited the electronic dance music world. As Dubfire's productions delved into techno's moodier, sonically edgy dimensions, critics and fans alike celebrated his new musical direction with admiration and enthusiasm. An avalanche of accolades made tracks like "Roadkill" and "RibCage" instant techno classics upon release. Earning praise from both DJs and producers as "the DJ’s DJ", combined with a myriad of acclaim from online and offline music critics and fans, Dubfire rapidly cemented his standing as a powerhouse within dance music worldwide. With countless awards, honours, magazine covers, covermount CDs and an Essential Mix for BBC Radio 1 under his belt, Dubfire has garnered massive popularity whilst securing his status as one of the most forward-thinking artists in dance music.

Envisioning a launching pad for his own productions while nurturing fresh talent worldwide, Dubfire took another bold leap forward when he launched his own label, Science + Technology Digital Audio. SCI+TEC rapidly built a die-hard fan base and to date the label's roster proudly encompasses a powerful mix of marquee players and hungry newcomers. One such artist is Toronto's Carlo Lio, who will be making his Irish debut alongside Dubfire at Yello on Easter Monday.

Amongst his contemporaries, Dubfire remains a unique DJ, producer, and remixer - eager to hone and further evolve his signature sound. With an unmatched hunger to conquer the latest frontiers in electronic dance music and its rapidly changing technology, Dubfire delivers the unexpected and has no intention of slowing down.

Easter Monday at Yello will provide a rare and unique opportunity to catch the man in action on these shores. Additional support on the night comes from Yello residents Dibby Dougherty and John Craig. This will be a ticket only event and doors will be open from 9pm - 3am.
